Ushan Liyanage is a dynamic HR professional with extensive experience and exposure in all aspects of Human Resources. His initial education is in science with a BSc in natural science and a MSc in biotechnology. He shifted his career after joining Ceylon Tobacco (British American Tobacco Sri Lanka) global Management Trainee program in Human Resources.
After graduating from the two year program he held the positions of Administration Manager, HR Services Manager, Company Training Manager, Industrial Relations Manager, Talent & Rewards Manager, HR Business Partner Marketing & Corporate, HR Business partner Supply Chain and a regional role in Leadership development in Asia Pacific based from Hong Kong.
After completion of 10 years at CTC Ushan joined Brandix Casualwear Cluster with over 9000 employees as The Head of HR.In addition to his BSc & MSc in biotechnology he holds a MBA and a certified Senior Professional In Human Resources by the HR Certification Institute.
He is also a certified practitioner and a master practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programing (NLP). In addition to this he holds certification in Psychometric assessments, Assessment Centers .He has extensive exposure in Job Evaluations , Organization Developments & Rewards.
He has also followed the Strategic Human Resources program by NUS, Train the Trainer program by Singapore Institute of Management, HR Academy by British American Tobacco, Leadership Programs by Leadership Trust and Center for Creative Leadership. Ushan has experience in working in Leadership, Rewards, Talent & Change Management projects in over 15 countries in multicultural environments.
